The experimental electronic album “Journey Out Of Time”
The Eternal Wanderers’ experimental album “Journey Out Of Time” is available free at bandcamp.
In addition to the tracks, there’s a lot of information on the concept of the album and each track, and in the bonus items you can find the entire artwork.
“Journey” has nothing to do with the progressive rock style rather it can be attributed to the electronics/ electroacoustics.
The album was recorded in 2004, revised in 2008, and mastered in 2009. Then the artwork for the CD was also made. But the album was never released.
The tracks of the album are united with the idea of a Spirit wandering in the interstellar space for uncounted years, through parallel worlds, past and future. In this journey the listener together with the Spirit ponders over the laws of space, witnesses different scenes of the lost worlds.
The concept of the album is the unison in diversity, the idea that life, in all its manifestations be it joy or grief, happiness or anxiety is but a fleeting glimpse in immense depths of space and time.
We decided not to position this album as a release-2017. The reason is that this is the work of a decade ago, made on the knowledge, the visions, the technical basis that was then. If now we set to work with those ideas, the sound would be different. There is no need to argue, would it be better or not, but it would be certainly different. The album is clearly not modern, and it should be taken as it is. But this is one of the most important facets of EW’s creative activity. So we decided that it’s enough already to hide it. Music lives only when listening.
Enjoy!

The End of the Satellite Age – the official video from the presentation
Dear friends!
We present a video of the “epic” track of the album “The Mystery of The Cosmic Sorrow” – “The End of the Satellite Age” performed at the presentation held on June 3rd 2016.
Perhaps the best way to watch it at night, not in a hurry and lost in thought.
24-minute composition had been written by Dmitry Shtatnov for several years and comprises 5 parts representing milestones in the development of Russian-Soviet space industry – from the 50-ies of the twentieth century, the flight of the first artificial satellite, through the Cuban missile crisis, the era of consumption, commerce and the cult of the “yuppies” to the controversial ‘ 90s and 2000s, when with successive failures in the space industry it began to seem that the space dream will never return…
Enjoy!

The latest of them, the double CD “The Mystery Of The Cosmic Sorrow”, has been released in 2016! At the concert EW will play songs from the new album and the earlier albums.
Song of ETERNAL WANDERERS – “about Joy and Sorrow, Life and Death, about infinite Space, about the labyrinths of Consciousness, about Eternity, about the Beauty of the human soul and distant stars, about untimely vanished beautiful worlds where reality and fantasy merge into a single whole…”
Another participant of the concert will be the St. Petersburg band ROZ VITALIS. The band performs instrumental music at the crossroads of avant-garde progressive rock, traditional art-rock and space-rock. On July 16th Eternal Wanderers performed at Cosmofest open-air festival
The festival was held in the picturesque place in the suburb of Gagarin town near Yauza reservoir in Smolensk region, Russia. EW played 6 songs as a duet of Elena Kanevskaya and Dmitry Shtatnov. Dmitry played acoustic guitar at “Valley Of Oblivion” and “Space”. We much enjoined playing “Following A Neutrino’s Flight” with slide guitar, e-bow and spacial effects. Then came a surprise – introducing a new song arranged with pads and sitar. “Invested With Mystery” is a song about eternal and transient things written 20 years ago. We’re going to record it for the new album. The next song Dima accompanied on piano. As “Invested With Mystery”, this song had been prepared specially for the festival and was performed for the first time. It was a song called “Eternal Wanderer” written 20 years ago that actually gave rise to EW’s musical project. For “And I Will Follow” Dima again took an acoustic guitar and turned on a simple groove-box pattern.
We managed to record some video. Perhaps, the quality of video should have been better, but at any rate it’s a good memory of this maybe exclusive duet performance.
