Conception of the album
The tracks of the album are united with the idea of a Spirit wandering in the interstellar space for uncounted years, through parallel worlds, past and future. In this journey the listener together with the Spirit ponders over the laws of space, witnesses different scenes of the lost worlds.
The concept of the album is the unison in diversity, the idea that life, in all its manifestations be it joy or grief, happiness or anxiety is but a fleeting glimpse in immense depths of space and time, which have the laws of their own. The theme of these laws, of unknown parts of the Universe opens the album in the composition Intersection Of Parallels.
Glimpses of life the Spirit encounters in its journey can be found in The Great Burning And The Grinding Ice and Crying Into Hollow Spaces. The former is about great hardships and sufferings of passing the strait covered with ice (the theme was inspired with an episode from The Silmarillion by J. R. R. Tolkien). The latter is about the catastrophe of the land having sunk into the sea with everything that was so dear.
But it all comes and goes in space, dispersing in Eternity. The fourth track Lamentation Among The Stars symbolizes the space between worlds, the inconceivable depths of the cosmos, where the wandering Spirit hears a voice, perhaps simply sounding inside, a lamentation for all that was fair, and that is lost.
And in the end, all troubles, joy and sorrow give place to peace and calm of Eternity. The Spirit goes on an on, for years uncounted… This is the idea of the last composition Journey Out Of Time. It symbolizes the eternal journey itself, and in the end just space remains, and the listener hears the echoes of the scenes that the Spirit has seen. But they disappear, and peace of the Universe restores.
Intersection Of Parallels
The laws of geometry and physics applied on Earth cease to be in force on a Universe scale. Sometimes these cosmic laws are hardly perceivable for human consciousness. In spacetime warped by matter and energy the ways of objects attempting to move in parallel ways are bent back toward each other. Maybe they’ll intersect in some point of time. And… may not…
Who knows where will this journey out of time lead you – maybe, into a singularity?
The Great Burning And The Grinding Ice
“…Feanor caused fire to be set to the white ships of the Teleri. So… ended the fairest vessels that ever sailed the sea, in a great burnong, bright and terrible.
“…there were vast fogs and mists of deathly cold, and the sea-streams were filled with clashing hills of ice and the grinding of ice deep-sunken. Such was Helcaraxё, and there none yet dared to tread…
“Then Fingolfin seeing that Feanor had left him to perish in Araman or return in shame to Valinor was filled with bitterness, but he desired now as never before to come by some way to Middle-earth, and meet Feanor again…
“… and finding no other way they endured at last the terror of the Helcaraxё and the cruel hills of ice. Few of the deeds of the Noldor thereafter surpassed that desperate crossing in hardihood or woe…”
J.R.R. Tolkien “The Silmarillion”
Crying Into Hollow Spaces
Among the ruins of the ancient city, almost completely buried under water a monologue of a spirit is heard. This is a spirit who have wandered for many centuries in cold cosmic abysses and returned again to this place – once it was her home. But now erstwhile superb edifices look with the black eye-sockets of yawning windows upon debris of former harmony and beauty. Her call just resounds in hollow spaces of half-sunk cathedrals and disperses in the air without an answer…
Time carries us back to those days when in these places birds sang among trees, children played and laughed, and flowers bloomed in the gardens. But terrible catastrophe destroyed everything in a moment.
And again there-s passage in time, and again we hear the monologue on lifeless ruins, crying into hollow spaces…
Lamentation Among The Stars
Journey Out Of Time
In the end, all troubles, joy and sorrow give place to peace and calm of Eternity. The Spirit goes on an on, for years uncounted… This is the idea of the last composition Journey Out Of Time. It symbolizes the eternal journey itself, and in the end just Space remains, and we hear the echoes of the scenes that the Spirit has seen. But they disappear, and peace of the Universe restores.
